7 June, 2012 was a special day for our children, as they were visited by Manchester City football team captain, Vincent Kompany, who included Taarana in his personal tour supported by QNET. Kompany, who loves children, took time out of his schedule to spend quality time with the kids – he held a special football clinic for the kids at the field outside the school. During his visit, he also congratulated Vijayaratnam Foundation for having opened the school, which was created to provide a better future for the children.
